First, the source of infection and transmission mode of monkeypox 

African rodents, primates (many species of monkeys and apes) and humans infected with monkeypox virus are the main sources of infection. The incubation period of monkeypox is usually 6-13 days, with a maximum of 21 days. Infected people experience symptoms such as fever, headache, and swollen lymph nodes. This is followed by a rash on the face and other parts of the body, which gradually develops into pustules for about a week, after which the scab forms and once all the scabs have fallen off, the infected person is no longer contagious.

Third, the treatment of monkeypox

Monkeypox is a self-limiting disease with a good prognosis for most purposes. At present, there are no specific anti-monkeypox virus drugs in China. Treatment is mainly symptomatic supportive care and treatment of complications. Most often, monkeypox symptoms go away on their own within 2-4 weeks. 　　

Fourth, the prevention of monkeypox 

Avoid close contact with people who have monkeypox. Sexual contact, especially male sex, carries a higher risk. Avoid direct contact with wildlife in high-prevalence countries. Avoid catching, slaughtering, or eating local animals raw. Practice good hygiene. Clean and disinfect frequently and do hand hygiene.

5. Do a good job in health monitoring

If there is a history of contact with suspicious animals, people or monkeypox cases at home and abroad, and symptoms such as fever and rash appear, you should go to a regular hospital in time, generally choose a dermatology, and inform the doctor of the epidemiological history, and avoid close contact with others before scabs.
