Fight acne in summer? Tell you to say goodbye to acne

release time:2022-04-07|reading:

      There is a small red knot on the face in the heart, and people will say that they have acne.

  In fact, most acne is said to be the so-called acne in medicine, which is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of the hair follicle sebaceous gland unit. People of all ages can get it, but the incidence is high among young people, so it is also called "acne".

  Why is there a high incidence of acne in summer?

  In summer, the body's oil secretion and metabolism are more vigorous than usual, and the body consumes more nutrients. Various vitamins and micronutrients, especially vitamin A, are relatively lacking, making the pore wall rough.

  The oil is thicker and more likely to clog pores.

  This oil mixes with dead keratinocytes to form a cuticle plug called a papule.

  At this time, oxygen can no longer enter the pores for a long time, and there is no oxygen in the pores. This anaerobic environment is most suitable for the large growth of propionibacterium acne, which causes skin inflammation, namely folliculitis.

  For some women with endocrine abnormalities, the androgen level in the body is relatively high.

  Androgen will combine with the receptor on sebaceous gland to promote oil secretion.

  Under the influence of high temperature in summer, the receptors on the sebaceous glands become more sensitive and active. When combined with androgen, they produce more oil, making people more prone to acne.

  Four factors that cause acne

  1. Excessive sebum secretion

  Excessive sebum will directly lead to the abnormality of different functions of sebaceous glands.

  Acne patients are affected by androgen and adrenocorticotropic hormone, which can release hormones, and sebaceous gland cells and hair follicle keratinocytes are abnormal through metabolism.

  Under the action of specific reductase, androgen will be transformed into dihydrotestosterone and testosterone with strong activity; Testosterone interacts with androgen receptor related proteins with high affinity. After entering a nucleus, it can regulate the expression of target gene information and affect the proliferation and function of sebaceous glands.

  2. Abnormal hair follicle keratinization

  In normal hair follicles, keratinocytes located in the lumen of sebaceous glands and hair follicles shed orderly.

  When the keratinocytes in the catheter do not fall off, it will block the catheter and form acne.

  The excessive proliferation of keratinocytes in acne patients leads to the thickening of epithelial cell layer, the reduction of pipe diameter, and the reduction of patency, which ultimately leads to the acute occlusion of sebaceous gland tubes and the formation of acne.

  3. Excessive microbial reproduction

  Acne related bacteria mainly include Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Pityrosporum furfur and Staphylococcus aureus, among which Propionibacterium acnes is the most important one.

  Propionibacterium acnes induces and activates the onset of acne inflammation, and converts glycerol into fatty acids, leading to inflammation.

  In addition, Propionibacterium acnes can also produce protease, hyaluronidase and chemokines, which can cause excessive keratinization of hair follicles and form acne.

  4. Inflammatory reaction

  Inflammation is the main source of acne.

  In the early stage of acne, inflammatory factors are produced in the diseased areas, causing various inflammatory cells to gather locally.

  Under the action of microorganisms, a large number of inflammatory factors are produced, causing a series of inflammatory reactions.

  Different types of acne have different treatments.

  According to the severity of acne, we generally divide acne into four grades,

  Grade I (mild): only acne, no related inflammation or pustules;

  Grade II (mild to moderate): in addition to acne, there are also inflammatory papules;

  Grade III (moderate): pustules appear except for acne and inflammatory papules;

  Grade IV (severe): In addition to the above conditions, there is also a nodule, cyst or scar. In addition to this problem, there are also some special education types, such as polymerized acne, eruptive acne, acne and chemically induced acne.

  For mild to moderate acne, local treatment is mainly used, that is, only the acne part can be treated.

  It is preferred to use retinoic acid externally to alleviate excessive keratosis. It can also fade spots and reduce acne traces through pore blockage.

  In addition, benzoyl peroxide can be used in combination with topical use.

  If the effect is not good, use fruit acid, salicylic acid and compound acid to improve the treatment effect.

  It should be noted that retinoic acid has a certain irritation and photosensitivity. It is generally recommended to use it at night. Benzoyl peroxide should be small in amount and applied to the affected area.

  If it is moderate acne, systemic treatment with antibiotics is required.

  Except for retinoic acid, benzoyl peroxide, oral antibiotics such as tetracycline, minocycline or erythromycin, it can inhibit the proliferation of oral bacterial follicles and reduce inflammation.

  For severe acne, in addition to oral antibiotics and retinoic acid, photodynamic therapy can also be used to kill pathogenic microorganisms in sebaceous glands, inhibit sebaceous gland secretion, and promote skin wound healing.

  Photodynamic side effects are mild and can be treated repeatedly. Patients with severe acne can be given priority.

  Daily precautions for acne patients

  Acne is easy to recur. Some safety precautions in life can effectively reduce the abnormal secretion of facial oil, which will help us to reduce the recurrence of acne.

  1. The diet should be diversified, pay attention to eating more fresh vegetables and fruits, keep enough dietary fiber, drink more water in daily life, avoid eating spicy and stimulating food, fat, sweet and greasy food, high calorie food, and reduce alcohol consumption.

  2. Pay attention to maintaining good living habits, ensure adequate sleep time, maintain regular living habits, and avoid staying up late, smoking, drinking and other bad habits.

  3. Proper skin care. If there is a lot of oil on the face, you can often wash your face with warm water or use neutral facial cleanser (but not too clean skin).

  4. Acne rash (including acne, inflammatory papules, pustules, cysts, etc.) It shall not be squeezed or scratched to avoid the spread of inflammation, which may lead to secondary infection and more likely to leave scars.

  5. In daily life, we should pay attention to maintaining a good state of spiritual life, keeping a happy mood and regulating our emotions.
