Thyroid enlargement, dry skin, constipation... Be careful!

release time:2022-04-21|reading:

      In recent years, the incidence of Hashimoto's thyroiditis has gradually increased, and the incidence has become younger. The incidence of female thyroiditis is about 8 to 9 times that of male thyroiditis, which has attracted more and more attention.

甲状腺肿大、皮肤干燥、便秘……小心是它!

  Hashimoto's thyroiditis is a kind of autoimmune thyroiditis and the most common thyroid disease.

  Hashimoto's thyroiditis, also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, is a painless diffuse thyroid with properties.

  In the early stage, the patient has no symptoms, only slight goiter.

  With the development of the disease, thyroid follicles are destroyed, causing excessive thyroid hormones to enter the blood, leading to hyperthyroidism.

  But hyperthyroidism usually lasts for several months, and some patients may have passed before they realized it.

  After a short period of hyperthyroidism, the patient's condition will enter a stable period, but if the condition is not properly controlled, the thyroid tissue cells will continue to be damaged, resulting in the failure of normal thyroid function maintenance, and the patient will have permanent hypothyroidism.

  At present, Hashimoto's thyroiditis patients that can be diagnosed clinically are mainly corrected by hypothyroidism, and many patients with unobvious goiter have not been correctly diagnosed.

  For Hashimoto's thyroiditis patients, the most important thing is to control the disease within a reasonable range and try to avoid the progress of the disease, which is more conducive to health.

  The development of the risk mechanism of Hashimoto's thyroiditis has not been fully clarified yet. It is generally believed that the disease is the result of the joint promotion of immune, genetic, environmental and other influencing factors, and is most closely related to the immune system disorder of the thyroid itself.

  There is usually no obvious clinical main symptom of the disease. In the early stage, the disease is mostly manifested by positive thyroid autoantibodies. General management lacks a typical clinical treatment symptom. With the progression of the disease, hypothyroidism may occur in the late stage. Therefore, most patients are treated with hypothyroidism clinically.

  Diagnostic criteria for Hashimoto's thyroiditis

  The first time is when the thyroid begins to show diffuse enlargement, and these surfaces are uneven or have nodules;

  Second, TGAb and TMAb were positive;

  The third is the irregular phenomenon of cohesion or sparseness found in the process of thyroid scanning;

  The fourth is the increase of blood TSH detection index values; If they do not change and cause hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, they may not need medical nursing intervention, but they need to carry out reasonable diet taboo and emotional self-regulation.

  Because patients consume faster and need more food than healthy people, they can choose to eat less to provide the energy needed by their bodies and avoid overeating.

  Eat less food with high iodine, such as kelp and seafood, and eat less stimulating food, such as strong tea, coffee, wine, etc.

  Eat less spicy and stimulating food, such as hot pot, pepper, etc.

  Heavy taste food needs to eat less salt, and appropriate food with high fiber.

  The most important thing is to adjust your body and mind, and be less angry. Being angry for a long time will stimulate thyroid cells, secrete unhealthy substances, and induce thyroiditis. Pay attention to avoid staying up late and causing excessive fatigue.

  D3 is the active form of vitamin D and plays an important role in the regulation of calcium and phosphorus metabolism and cell growth and differentiation. Recent studies have found that D3 also has the function of regulating the immune system and maintaining immune homeostasis.

  Therefore, the immune mechanism of vitamin D has become a research hotspot in recent years.

  In addition to rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults, vitamin D deficiency has been proved to be the main cause of vitamin D deficiency, which is also related to autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, type 1 diabetes and autoimmune thyroid diseases.

  Serum 25 hydroxyvitamin D3 in Hashimoto thyroiditis patients with hypothyroidism is positively correlated with FT3 and FT4. and negatively correlated with TSH, TPOAb, TGAb, suggesting that 25 hydroxyvitamin D3 is closely related to thyroid autoimmunity.

  However, the causal relationship between them cannot be established.

  In Hashimoto's thyroiditis patients with hypothyroidism, appropriate supplementation of vitamin D while supplementing thyroxine tablets may have synergistic effects on the treatment.

  Therefore, in case of goiter accompanied by mental fatigue, skin dryness, constipation, hoarseness and other symptoms, you should go to the doctor as soon as possible and combine with laboratory examination, thyroid ultrasound technology examination, usually you can adjust your mind, pay attention to your diet, and control the amount of iodine.
